Data Retention
How long each kind of data is kept. The periods below are the ones the service enforces.
Guest mode
Nothing is saved. The file is held in memory on our server for that one request and never written to disk or a database. Its text or image, and later your confirmed values, are sent to Groq, our AI provider, which per its documentation does not retain inference data by default and may log it for up to 30 days only for reliability or abuse investigation, with any retained data stored in the United States. Results live only in your browser tab; closing it discards them.
Account mode
Saved reports (values, units, ranges, statuses, explanation text, date, language), retest reminders, visit summaries, plan and consent records are kept until you delete them or your account. The original file is never stored.
Short-lived and housekeeping data
Abuse counters: 24 hours (hashed key, never the raw IP). Payment-webhook records: 90 days. Event counts without identity: 24 months.
Waitlist, feedback, contact and requests
Waitlist entries: 12 months. Feedback and contact messages: 24 months (feedback sent while signed in is deleted with your account). Completed deletion requests: 12 months; payment and refund requests: 24 months after completion. A minimal anonymized deletion log (the kind of deletion and the date, no personal data) is kept.
Payment records
Payment ledger rows are kept for accounting; when an account is deleted the link to it is removed.
Deleting your data
Delete your account in Settings and everything linked to it is removed straight away (reports, markers, reminders, summaries, consent, feedback, payment requests); any subscription is cancelled first. Routine database backups age out on their own schedule. Without an account, use the Delete my data page; we reply within 30 days.
